This much altered property is one of the oldest in the village.
Built of clunch rubble and weatherboarded timber framing, it is now colour washed and has a thatch roof with brick stacks.
The thatched barn to the east was added in the 17th century.
The interior is much altered but the original bays are still distinguishable.
The history of the Six Bells as a pub is documented in The Six Bells, part of David Seymour’s research on our former pubs & hotels.
