Warborough Green lies between The Green North and The Green South within the Conservation Area and was registered as Common Land under the Commons Registration Act 1965 Section 22 on 1st August 1972, having been acquired as a result of the Inclosure Act circa 1845.
The area known as the Green, for which the Parish Council is responsible includes the areas in front of properties up to the ditch on either side.
As such the Green is registered under the Act for the exercise or recreation of the inhabitants of the locality and still enjoys the protection of Section 12 of the Inclosure Act of 1857 along with Section 29 of the Commons Act of 1876. These Acts were designed to prevent nuisances and encroachment on or inclosure of a town or village green.
Vehicle access or parking is an infringement of those Acts although the Council may allow parking on the Green to enable inhabitants to enjoy recreation facilities.
