On 20th March 2024 we had a well-attended talk by Bret & Karen Wiles in The Greet Hall about the Upper Thames Patrol. This was a section of the Home Guard in WWII who guarded the River Thames from Teddington to Lechlade in small patrol boats. They were accompanied by four re-enactors in UTP uniform who added an authentic feel to the evening.
